NASHVILLE, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Country music artist Joey Martin Feek, who is under hospice care after a battle with cancer, says her faith in God remains strong and she is not afraid to die.

"I'm doing all these alternative things and taking things I've never taken before -- organic, all natural, and homeopathic. It can't hurt," the 40-year-old musician told The Tennessean newspaper.

"I'm doing all I can do to be more comfortable," she added. "I pray that one morning I just don't wake up. But I don't fear anything because I'm so close to God and we've talked about it so many times. I know he's close. And I know he loves me. I'm really at peace. I still believe there's healing in prayer."

Feek's husband and Joey + Rory stage partner -- Rory Feek -- has been updating her fans about Joey's brave battle against the agressive disease, as well as her recent decision to discontinue treatment and begin hospice care at home where she can spend time with Rory and their young daughter Indiana.
