NEW YORK, June 9 (UPI) -- The first photo Taylor Swift shares of her boyfriend Calvin Harris is of course blurry, but that hasn't slowed down the wave of excitement it caused among fans.

Swift tweeted a link Monday night to best friend Gigi Hadid's Instagram photo, featuring both Gigi and Karlie Kloss and none other than Harris himself. The "Bad Blood" singer added, "I took a photo of my favorite people -- they were laughing so hard, the lens couldn't capture it fast enough."

To those who don't know who Swift's crew consists of, the black and white photo Hadid posted looks like a shot of three unidentifiable faces, but immediately fans knew who they were. Posted on National Best Friend day, Hadid's caption read: "There's not a picture that could fit in everyone that I appreciate, but this post is dedicated to all the friends that light up my life- you know who you are. I'm the luckiiesssttttt."

Swift and Harris have kept their relationship mostly under wraps since rumors started flying about their connection in March. In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, the 1989 artist said she wasn't interested in being the punch-line of jokes anymore.

"I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime," Swift said at the time. "And I'm just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore...I don't like giving comedians the opportunity to make jokes about me at awards shows. I don't like it when headlines read 'Careful, Bro, She'll Write a Song About You,' because it trivializes my work."

In April, a rumor said that Harris asked Swift to refrain from writing any songs about him. The EDM artist reportedly said that Swift's talents should be channeled positively into her songwriting, instead of being spent on "mundane lyrics about boys."

Obviously, Swift has been re-channeling her songwriting energy to other topics including tension between ex-friends with "Bad Blood"; the video for which premiered mid May.
