LOS ANGELES, May 22 (UPI) -- EDM DJ Diplo posted a tweet Wednesday night slamming fellow musician Zedd's new album True Colors, calling it a piece of, well, crap.
Diplo, 36-years-old and born Thomas Pentz, tweeted a brief but scathing review of the 25-year-old Zedd's second album True Colors, calling it a "pile of [feces emoji]." The offender has since deleted the comment, but the screenshot feature assures that nothing is truly gone from the net.
I can't stand @Diplo. Who are you to judge the work of other singers/DJs ? Mind your own business huh pic.twitter.com/BPpe47711o

Tweets in response to the deleted review seem to confirm Diplo's actions. His own responses to some fans back up the assumption that he didn't delete his harsh review because of a change of heart. He told one fan that people like him, "with no passion," ruin the music he works so hard to make.
@ActuGaga im a musician that takes pride in good music works hard everyday and i see stans like u with no context, no passion - ruining it

Diplo is no stranger to tension, although at times lighthearted. The "Lean On" artist racks up a list of celebrity hang ups ,including an incident where he criticized Taylor Swift's body after which Lorde questioned his manhood. Back when things were better between the DJs, though, he teased Selena Gomez by embracing her rumored boyfriend, Zedd himself in a photo captioned "watch out."
