NEW YORK, April 8 (UPI) -- Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne haven't spoken since the former's Fashion Police controversy.

The 40-year-old host revealed as much in an interview with HuffPost Live on Tuesday. Osbourne and Kathy Griffin departed the E! series following Rancic's controversial Zendaya dreadlocks remark in February, and the television personality said there's no use in approaching her former co-hosts.

"I haven't talked [to Osbourne or Griffin since the incident]," Rancic told host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani. "Nothing good can come of trying to speak for them [or guessing what they meant by their comments]."

Rancic previously apologized for saying Zendaya's hair must smell of "patchouli oil ... or weed," and asserted the joke was edited improperly in an interview with Today this week. Fashion Police was put on hiatus after Osbourne and Griffin left, and Rancic suggested the show was destined to fail anyway in the wake of Joan Rivers' death.

"When Fashion Police came back on the air after Joan passed away, it was the exact same format that they had created for Joan Rivers," the host shared. "There was no way it could succeed because you can't just have the driving force behind the show ... not [be] there anymore and expect the show to do well."

Osbourne cryptically tweeted, "Liars ALWAYS get caught!" following Rancic's interview with Today, leading many to believe the star didn't buy the host's explanation for the Zendaya joke. A source told Us Weekly, "The tweet is definitely about Giuliana. They're totally feuding."
