LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- Nancy Sinatra has dismissed rumors Frank Sinatra fathered Ronan Farrow.

The 74-year-old daughter of the late legendary singer addressed lingering speculation in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. Mia Farrow and then-partner Woody Allen welcomed Ronan Farrow in December 1987, but some purport the journalist is actually the son of Mia Farrow and first husband Frank Sinatra.

"Mia's son? Oh, nonsense," Nancy Sinatra told the morning program. "[Frank Sinatra] would just laugh it off. We didn't laugh it off because it was affecting my kids, you know? They were being questioned about it and we all knew it was nonsense."

Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra were married from July 1966 to August 1968, and some suspect Ronan Farrow was conceived during a subsequent fling. The actress confessed Frank Sinatra was "possibly" her son's father to Vanity Fair in 2013, an admission which irked Nancy Sinatra at the time.

"I was kind of cranky with Mia for even saying, 'Possibly,'" she related. "I was cranky with her for saying that. She knew better, you know, she really did. But she was making a joke! And it was taken very seriously and was just silly, stupid."

Frank Sinatra married four times and had three children, Nancy, Frank, Jr., and Tina, by first wife Nancy Barbato. Mia Farrow and Woody Allen were together from 1980 to 1992, and the actress has three biological and nine adopted living children in addition to Ronan Farrow.
