Gigi Hadid named the new face of Maybelline

NEW YORK, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Gigi Hadid is the new face of Maybeline cosmetics.

The 19-year-old model announced the news on social media early Wednesday, stating on Twitter she was "beyond honored and excited" for her new partnership with the brand.

"Thank you so much to my team at @imgmodels for believing in me & helping make this happen...," she added.

Hadid also shared the news on Instagram where she posted a short clip with the announcement.

Hadid's new Maybelline gig, comes a week after Guess revealed the model's new ad campaign for the brand, which finds her posing topless. She has been a Guess model for almost 15 years.

Hadid is the daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality star Yolanda Foster and Mohamed Hadid. She and fellow rising modeling star and friend Kendall Jenner, made Model.com's Top 50 Models list in 2014.
