Matthew McConaughey receives Walk of Fame star

McConaughey was joined by his wife, Camila Alves, and their three children, Levi, Vida and Livingston, on Monday to receive the 2.534th star on the Walk of Fame.

HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- It's been an all right year for Matthew McConaughey. First he won a Golden Globe, then an Oscar and now the Dallas Buyers Club actor has his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

McConaughey was joined by his wife, Camila Alves, and their three children, Levi, Vida and Livingston, on Monday to receive the 2.534th star on the Walk of Fame.

His ceremony took place on Hollywood Boulevard in front of Madame Tussauds Hollywood wax museum.

Earlier this year, McConaughey earned best actor awards at both the Golden Globes and Academy Awards for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. He also got an Emmy nod for his role in HBO's True Detective.

The Texas native is currently on screen in sci-fi thriller Interstellar.

Interstellar co-stars Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway were also on hand for the ceremony.
