LOS ANGELES, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Robin Wright and fiancé Ben Foster have broken up.

The 48-year-old actress and 34-year-old actor were together for over two years, and got engaged in December 2013. Wright reportedly ended the relationship, and a source told Us Weekly the split was partly due to the couple's 14-year age gap.

"She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn't the right decision," an insider shared.

"The [age] gap just ended up being too much," a different source added. "Ben was kind of immature. She couldn't deal with him anymore."

Wright was previously married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988, and to Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010. She and Penn have two children, 23-year-old daughter Dylan Frances and 21-year-old Hopper Jack.

Wright came to fame as Kelly Capwell on NBC soap opera Santa Barbara, and has appeared in such films as The Princess Bride, Forrest Gump and A Most Wanted Man. She currently stars as Claire Underwood on Netflix series House of Cards, and is scheduled for Everest in 2015.
