LOS ANGELES, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are reportedly "patching things up."

The couple, married since 2008, were rumored to be dealing with a series of marital issues over the summer with reports claiming de Rossi was jealous of DeGeneres' relationship with Sofia Vergara and that she recorded her fights with the talk show host.

"Ellen says that she and Portia are doing so much better," a source told Radar Online. "Towards the end of last season [of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'] everything was really taking a toll on her. While Portia was in treatment and everyone was predicting that they were getting a divorce, it was really hard. But thankfully, all of that has passed."

Neither DeGeneres nor de Rossi addressed rumors that they were headed for divorce over the summer, but the couple added fuel to the fire by keeping away from the spotlight. The two made headlines Wednesday after being spotted on romantic stroll down California's Melrose Avenue.

Insiders added that the 56-year-old talk show host is more committed to her marriage than ever.

"Ellen says that she will be with Portia forever and that she puts her wife before anything, even her career," added the source.

DeGeneres and de Rossi celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on Aug. 16. The two made headlines earlier that month after purchasing "an entire floor of a luxury building in Beverly Hills."
