NEW YORK, April 10 (UPI) -- ESPN's Tony Reali will join the Good Morning America cast as a regular contributor.

Many changes have taken place at the ABC morning show within the last six months -- longtime weatherman Sam Champion and anchor Josh Elliott chose to depart, anchors Robin Roberts and Lara Spencer decided to stay, and Live! with Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan announced earlier this month that he will join the cast as a co-host.

Reali has been with ESPN's Around the Horn since 2004, and will continue his duties there in addition to Good Morning America. The host will serve as GMA's first social media contributor, and will also engage viewers for the show's "Social Square" segment.

"I love sports and I love ESPN, but there's a lot outside of sports that I like, too," Reali tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Just the chance to have one foot in and one foot out is a dream."

"Tony brings great energy, passion and creativity to his work, and he's a big reason for Around the Horn's success the past ten years," ESPN production vice-president John Wildhack says. "We're pleased he will contribute as host of this signature ESPN show and have the chance to do even more as a contributor to ABC on GMA."

Reali anticipates that he will appear on Good Morning America two to three days a week to start.
