NEW YORK, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Kanye West thrilled Late Night viewers on Tuesday with a medley of his biggest hits. "Jesus Walks," "All of the Lights," and the more recent "Black Skinhead," were among the songs sampled in his career-spanning performance.

West first joined new Late Night host Seth Meyers for an interview on Meyers' second day on the job. The 36-year-old singer was particularly good-natured and self-effacing throughout the conversation.

One highlight was when Meyers brought up West's 2007 sketch idea for Saturday Night Live. At the time, West had not yet interrupted Taylor Swift, but had thrown an on-stage fit after he lost Best Video at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards. West was all smiles after Meyers showed a clip of the SNL sketch, which parodies the incident by showing the singer interrupting the Kids' Choice Awards and disrupting a state fair pumpkin contest.

"You laugh to keep from crying," West told Meyers after the clip. "Life is life. There are ups and downs and they will give an 8-year-old the best pumpkin at any given time and you just have to be prepared for these types of things."
