Radcliffe to star in West End's 'Inishmaan' revival

LONDON, April 12 (UPI) -- Daniel Radcliffe is to star in director Michael Grandage's new West End staging of Martin McDonagh's "The Cripple of Inishmaan," producers said.

Best known for playing the titular wizard in the Harry Potter film franchise, Radcliffe also has appeared in the stage productions of "Equus" and "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying."

His latest theater project is to begin preview performances June 8. Opening night is set for June 18 and the show is scheduled to run through Aug. 31.

The revival of "Inishmaan" is to co-star Ingrid Craigie, Padraic Delaney, Sarah Greene, Gillian Hanna, Gary Lilburn, Conor MacNeill, Pat Shortt and June Watson.

Playbill.com said this marks the play's first major London revival since it premiered at the National Theatre in 1996.
