BEYONCE: Beyonce lip-synched "The Star Spangled Banner" at President Barack Obama's inauguration, a representative for the U.S. Marine Band told the New York Post.

"All music is prerecorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day," Kristin DuBois, the band's spokeswoman told the newspaper of Beyonce's performance Monday in Washington. "We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the prerecorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don't know what the reason why [was.]"

A publicist for Kelly Clarkson, who sang "My Country 'Tis of Thee" at the ceremony, told the Post, "Kelly did sing live!"

'ONE LIFE TO LIVE:' Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser are among the cast members who signed up to appear in an online version of their canceled U.S. soap opera, "One Life to Live."

Prospect Park, the production company behind the Web venture, announced Tuesday it has closed numerous deals with former "OLTL" stars and production executives to work on The Online Network version of their former daytime drama.

So far, Slezak will return as Victoria Lord Buchanan; Strasser as Dorian Lord; Tuc Watkins as David Vickers; Robert S. Woods as Bo Buchanan; Kassie DePaiva as Blair Cramer;

Jerry verDorn as Clint Buchanan; Florencia Lozano as Tea Delgado; Melissa Archer as Natalie Buchanan Banks; Hillary B. Smith as Nora Buchanan; Kelley Missal as Danielle Manning; Josh Kelly as Cutter Wentworth and Andrew Trischitta as Jack Manning.

The company did not say if Michael Easton, Roger Howarth and Kristen Alderson will reprise their "OLTL" roles of John McBain, Todd Manning and Starr Manning on the revived version of the show. The trio have been playing their "OLTL" characters full-time on sister soap "General Hospital" since last year after ABC canceled "OLTL" and "All My Children."

DePaiva and Lozano have also appeared on "GH" as their "OLTL" alter egos.

Prospect Park said more deals to bring other actors back to "OLTL" are expected to close in the coming weeks.

No debut date has been announced yet for the series.

BARRY MANILOW: Pop singer-musician Barry Manilow canceled his Broadway performance Tuesday night because he wasn't feeling well, show representatives said.

Ticketholders standing outside the Manhattan theater were given a leaftlet, which read, "Due to a sudden case of bronchitis, tonight's performance of 'Manilow on Broadway' has been canceled."

A makeup performance was added for Feb. 26.

Ticketholders who plan to attend that concert should bring their original tickets with them. Those unable to make that date are entitled to an exchange for an alternate performance or full refund, show reps said.

"Barry Manilow on Broadway" began performances Jan. 18 at the St. James Theatre. It is to run through Feb. 23.

This marks the 69-year-old singer's return to the Great White Way for the first time in more than two decades.

The Grammy Award-winning artist has sold more than 80 million records worldwide and has racked up 50 Top 40 hit songs, including "Mandy," "It's A Miracle," "Could It Be Magic," "I Write the Songs," "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again," "This One's For You," "Weekend in New England," "Looks Like We Made It," "Can't Smile Without You," "Even Now" and "Copacabana [At the Copa.]"

PRINCE: Recording artist Prince is to be honored with the 2013 Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards ceremony in Las Vegas this spring, ABC announced.

"This Billboard chart-topper will also deliver an unforgettable performance during the broadcast executive produced by Don Mischer," the network said in a news release.

The prize presentation is to take place May 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Prince, 54, is known for his hit songs "Purple Rain," "Little Red Corvette," "1999," "When Doves Cry," "Raspberry Beret," "Let's Go Crazy" and "Kiss."
