Letterman flirts with Lewis

NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- U.S. TV talk show host David Letterman playfully asked "X Factor" winner Leona Lewis back to his home during a show broadcast this week.

The popular late-night TV host appeared smitten with the 23-year-old singer, asking her to his home and causing the winner of the British TV competition to blush and appear uncomfortable, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.

"Anything you want to talk about?" Letterman asked Lewis after offering the singer a hug.

"Let's go up to the house and we'll talk about it."

In addition to the seemingly uncomfortable interaction with Letterman Monday, Lewis performed her hit "I Will Be."

The Mail said after the winner of two 2008 World Music Awards exited Letterman's New York stage, the talk show host, who isn't married but has a 5-year-old son with longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko, couldn't help but offer one last positive remark.

"Beautiful! Oh my god that was lovely," the 61-year-old TV star told the audience.
