LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Alison Lohman reportedly has signed on to take over Ellen Page's role in Sam Raimi's new supernatural thriller "Drag Me to Hell."

Lohman has previously starred in "Things We Lost in the Fire," "Big Fish," "Matchstick Men" and "White Oleander."

Page, who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in "Juno," was forced to drop out of "Hell" due to scheduling conflicts. Page also recently signed on to star in the films "Peacock" and "Whip It."

"Drag Me to Hell" is expected to start filming in Los Angeles March 31 -- two weeks later than originally scheduled -- with Lohman taking over Page's part, Variety.com said Tuesday.

Raimi, best known for his three "Spider-Man" blockbusters, is directing "Hell" based on a script he wrote with his brother Ivan.
