Four new films in Top 10

LOS ANGELES , Nov. 25 (UPI) -- The holiday movie season kicked off with four new films debuting in the Top 10 in U.S. theaters this weekend.

"Enchanted," a romantic comedy starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, came in at No. 1 with $35.33 million in estimated ticket sales, followed by "This Christmas," a holiday drama starring Delroy Lindo and Idris Elba, at No. 2 with $18.6 million, Box Office Mojo reported Sunday. "Hitman," a video game-inspired espionage drama, started out in the No. 4 spot with $13.04 million in estimated ticket sales, while "The Mist," a Stephen King horror offering, came in at No. 9 with $9.06 million.

"Beowulf," last week's top movie, slipped to third with $16.24 million and "Bee Movie," last week's second-place film, was fifth at $12.01 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were "Fred Claus," $10.74 million, at sixth; "August Rush," $9.43 million, at seventh; "American "Gangster," $9.21 million, eighth; and "No Country for Old Men," $8.11 million, 10th.

Exiting the top tier were "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium," "Dan in Real Life," "Lions for Lambs," "Love in the Time of Cholera" and "Saw IV."
