Willimon, who worked for Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign, is writing the script based on his drama about a young communications director for a fast-rising presidential candidate, the trade paper said.

The play is headed for Broadway next year with Mike Nichols set to direct and Jake Gyllenhaal slated to make his debut on the Great White Way.
