WEST VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- “Men in Trees” co-stars Anne Heche and James Tupper are living together in West Vancouver, British Columbia, People.com reported Tuesday.
Living with the actress in the new home he bought is "a little bit like heaven," the actor told the Vancouver Sun.
"We are just exploring our relationship and it has been going very well," he said. “Where is it going? I don't know. Ask me again in a year."
A former girlfriend of both Steve Martin and Ellen DeGeneres, Heche was also married to Hollywood cameraman Coleman Laffoon.
Laffoon, the father of her 5-year-old son, Homer, filed for divorce in February amid reports that he and Heche had split and the actress was dating Tupper.
Tupper said it is nice being with Heche away from the Hollywood media glare.
"Canadians are so respectful, they really leave us alone a lot. We have experienced nothing but generosity and openness," he said.
Before going back to British Columbia to work on the second season of their ABC series, Tupper and Heche spent three-and-a-half months in Los Angeles with Homer.
