Robin Roberts may return to 'GMA' Monday

NEW YORK, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- "Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts is expected to return to her desk in New York Monday, a little over a week after having breast cancer surgery.

"She is still awaiting her test results, but is feeling great and looking forward to getting back to work," the early-morning news magazine show spokeswoman Bridgette Maney told the New York Daily News.

Roberts has been resting at home since Aug. 3 after having surgery for a lump she found in her breast. While not discussing the extent of the malignancy, Roberts revealed on "Good Morning America" that she discovered the breast cancer after conducting a self-exam following a "GMA" show remembering film critic Joel Seigel, who died June after decade-long battle with cancer.
