'The Bourne Ultimatum' opens No. 1

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- "The Bourne Ultimatum," the third episode of the action series, vaulted to No. 1 with $70 million in estimated U.S. box office receipts its opening weekend.

"The Simpson's Movie," fell to No. 2 raking in $25.6 million for a two-week take of $128.5 million and the live-action "Underdog," was third with $12 million, Box Office Mojo reported Sunday.

"I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" was No. 4 with estimated weekend receipts of $10.5 million, "Hairspray" took in $9.3 million at No. 5 and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," was No. 6 with $9.2 million.

"No Reservations," $6.5 million; "Transformers," $5.9 million; and "Hot Rod," $5 million filled the seventh through ninth spots, and "Bratz" opened at No. 10 with $4.3 million.
