Restaurant group concerned by K-Fed ad

WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A U.S. restaurant group said it is concerned about a Super Bowl ad for Nationwide insurance featuring rapper Kevin Federline working in a fast-food restaurant.

It's nothing against K-fed, but the ad itself.

In a letter to Nationwide, Steven C. Anderson, president and chief executive officer of the Washington, D.C.-based National Restaurant Association, said the ad gives the idea that "working in a restaurant is a demeaning and unpleasant," and is a "direct insult to the 12.8 million Americans who work in the restaurant industry," Eonline.com said.

Nationwide said the ad wasn't meant to offend those who worked in the fast food industry. It's focus is on how life can quickly change.

Previous Nationwide ads with the same theme included Fabio seen as a sleek model and then as a wrinkly old man.

Britney Spears, Federline's estranged wife, filed for divorce in November.
