Wayne Brady hops aboard the N Net

NEW YORK, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable TV network for teen viewers -- The N -- has brought comic Wayne Brady aboard to develop an original comedy series.

Brady may be a mature 34, but he "gets" the teen audience, N Vice President Essie Chambers told Daily Variety.

"Wayne is a brilliant creator and writer," she said. "He gets our teen audience in a way that is surprising for an adult."

Brady is digging in right away by producing a half-hour special, "The Brandon T. Jackson Show," set to air Nov. 24, Variety said.

Brady will also appear in Jackson's sketch comedy show along with Nelly Furtado, Sinbad and Chris Brown.

In addition to the Brady signing, Chambers also announced the teen channel owned by Nickelodeon Networks had obtained all 113 episodes of the comedy "One on One" from UPN.
