Jim Caviezel to star in 'Outlander'

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- The Hollywood Reporter says Jim Caviezel has signed on to star in the science fiction adventure movie "Outlander."

The movie, which Howard McCain is directing for the Weinstein Co., may also be casting Sophia Myles and Jack Huston.

"Outlander" follows a man from another galaxy as he crashes on Earth during the time of the Vikings. He accidentally brings with him an alien predator that he must destroy with the help of the Viking tribe.

The screenplay to "Outlander" was written by McCain with Dirk Blackman.
