Scottish TV fest draws dignitaries

EDINBURGH, Scotland, May 18 (UPI) -- "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are among the experts slated to appear at Scotland's Edinburgh International TV festival.

The Comedy Central duo will teach a master class about the creation and maintenance of Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, Stan and the rest of the "South Park" denizens during the festival that runs the final weekend in August, the BBC reported Thursday.

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, filmmaker Sir David Attenborough, BBC correspondent Rageh Omaar, writer-director Armando Iannucci and ITV head Charles Allen have also been confirmed as speakers.

"This is a great lineup," the festival's Alison Sharman told the BBC. "I am sure they will make waves -- and make news."

Only those in the broadcasting industry are allowed to attend the festival that starts Aug. 25.
