LONDON, April 28 (UPI) -- British rocker Pete Doherty is being investigated after photos were published in which he seems to be injecting an unconscious woman with drugs.
The Sun published the photos that showed the Babyshambles frontman with a syringe in his hand leaning over the passed-out woman at his east London home, Sky News reported Friday. Another photo shows Doherty jabbing the needle into his own forearm.
"Officers from the Specialist Crime Directorate are investigating the drug allegations made in today's Sun newspaper," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
The newspaper also published a photo of supermodel Kate Moss along with a caption in which she allegedly says they have not split up.
Moss publicly said she had separated from her troubled boyfriend after photos of her apparently snorting cocaine in his studio were published in the Mirror last year.
Doherty has had a number of run-ins with the law in recent weeks. His latest drug arrest was one week ago, only hours after a London magistrate spared him jail and instead ordered him to continue rehab for drug possession.
