Keira Knightley replaces Moss at Chanel

PARIS, April 27 (UPI) -- British actress Keira Knightley will replace Kate Moss as the 2007 face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle perfume.

Knightley, 21, joins actresses Nicole Kidman and Catherine Deneuve among the ranks of Chanel girls, E! Online reported.

"I am really proud to have been asked to work with such an iconic house as Chanel, and thrilled to follow the extraordinary women who have been associated with it before," Knightley said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed but media speculation put the figure around $1 million.

Moss has been the face of Coco Mademoiselle since its 2001 debut. Knightley's hiring apparently confirms earlier speculation that the scandal-plagued supermodel's contract would not be renewed.
