In addition, the Mouse House is considering turning "High School Musical" into a stage show and there are talks of making it a weekly series as well, the Times said.

The movie's soundtrack has surpassed the 2 million mark in sales, making it the bestselling album of 2006. The National Basketball Association has adopted the single, "Get'cha Head in the Game," for its promos.

Producer Bill Borden told the Times "High School Musical" has been successful because it doesn't "speak down to anyone."
