Most of the events will be simulcast in high definition as opposed to the Summer Olympics when HDTV broadcasts were delayed, Zap2it.com noted.

Seven-time Olympics broadcaster Bob Costas will helm the network's primetime coverage with Jim Lampley handling day and late-night NBC broadcasts. USA network coverage will be anchored by Bill Macatee.

New this year will be a USA show that will air daily during the figure skating competition called "Olympic Ice." The hosts for the interview/news show were announced Tuesday as Mary Carillo and skating analysts Scott Hamilton and Dick Button.

The opening ceremony will air live on NBC Feb. 10.
