MSNBC teams up Povich and Chung

NEW YORK, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- The husband and wife team of Connie Chung and Maury Povich will co-anchor a Saturday morning show for cable's MSNBC.

The couple will review the week's headlines and interview a number of guests on the yet-to-be-named show that debuts Jan. 7, MSNBC announced Monday.

"Maury's been on my case to get out of the house and get back to work, but I didn't want to until he came up with this idea," Chung said in a statement. "The question is not whether the program will last. The question is, 'Can our marriage survive?'"

Povich joked about the show as well, saying it has taken him two decades to be recognized as "Maury Povich."

"Something tells me I'm about to become 'Mr. Chung' once again," he said.

Lizz Winstead, creator of Comedy Central's "Daily Show" and most recently with the Air America radio network, is executive producer of the new show.
