Seattle law firm sues Courtney Love

SEATTLE, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Courtney Love is being sued by the Seattle law firm that helped her get control of the publishing rights to the music of her late husband, Kurt Cobain.

Hendricks & Lewis said they helped Love get more than $7 million in advances on Cobain and Nirvana material, but she still owes the firm more than $340,000, MTV.com reported Wednesday.

The suit, which also names Love's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, seeks a lien on all of Love's papers in their possession including works by Cobain, MTV said.

Love's manager, Peter Asher, told MTV: "The matter is in Courtney's lawyer's hands."

The rocker and actress is currently undergoing court-ordered drug rehab.
