'Saturday Night Live' announces hosts

NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- "Saturday Night Live" will have Steve Carell, Jon Hedar, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Lance Armstrong as hosts in its 31st season, NBC announced Thursday.

Carell, the star of the feature film "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" and the NBC comedy series "The Office," kicks off the season next week with musical guest Kanye West, Zap2it.com reported.

Carell and fellow fake journalist from "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" alum Steven Colbert provided voices of Ace and Gary, "The Ambiguously Gay Duo," in a series of animated shorts for "SNL" a few years ago, Zap2it said.

When seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong takes the mic Oct. 29, his fiancee Sheryl Crow will be the musical guest.
