"Paradise" revolves around the slayings of several women by a group of black men in the town of Ruby, Okla.

The role marks a return to television for Hayek, whose career started on the Mexican soap opera "Nuevo Amanecer," Variety said.

She will next been seen in three films, "Ask the Dust" with Colin Farrell; "Bandidas" with Penelope Cruz; and with John Travolta and James Gandolfini in the independent film "Lonely Hearts."
