Sharon Osbourne voted important in rock

LONDON, June 22 (UPI) -- Britain's Sharon Osbourne has been voted the most important person in the world of rock, beating Satan who came in No. 2.

Britain's XFM radio Web site reported Tuesday readers of rock weekly Kerrang! selected the wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne for the top spot because of her skill and courage dealing with her husband's accident, children's addictions and cancer.

Following the Prince of Darkness were: Brian Becker, chief executive of Clear Channel; singer Justin Hawkins; rock and rap producer Rick Rubin; film director Michael Moore; and singer Kurt Cobain.

Rounding out the top 10 were: Rod Smallwood, founder of Sanctuary Records; Metallica's drummer Lars Ulrich; and singer Avril Lavigne.
