NEW YORK, May 22 (UPI) -- Ellen DeGeneres has won the Emmy for Best Talk Show in the United States, E! Online reported Saturday.
"I have fun every day," DeGeneres said after receiving the award Friday. "It's the best job I ever had."
She paid tribute to television executives who convinced station managers nationwide to take her day time talk show. DeGeneres' show also took three technical awards.
The Emmys are awarded by the National Television Academy and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
For the second year in a row, Wayne Brady was honored as Best Talk Show Host, despite the fact he no longer has a show -- it was canceled due to poor ratings.
Meanwhile, Martha Stewart did not win the Best Service Show category, an award she's won four previous times. Instead, Suze Orman won the Daytime Emmy for her financial advice program.
