'Dallas' cast to hold on-air reunion

LOS ANGELES, May 20 (UPI) -- CBS hopes for a ratings boost from two upcoming reunion specials, one of them a return to the Southfork Ranch for the cast of Dallas.

Zap2it.com reports the other reunion planned for next season involves cast-members from the situation comedy "One Day At A Time."

On the "Dallas" special, former cast members will watch home movies made by Larry Hagman, also known as J.R. Ewing, on the set of the show, eat barbecue and tour Southfork. The show was top-rated or runner-up for five of the 13 years it was on the air.

CBS has discovered that reunion specials are reliable money-makers. A "Carol Burnett Show" reunion in 2001 did so well, the network did another one last week along with a Dick Van Dyke reunion.
