Muppets find way to 'West Wing'

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Elmo is called on to boost the First Lady's image when the Muppets make their first U.S. prime time guest appearance on NBC's "The West Wing" on March 3.

In addition to Elmo, several other "Sesame Street" residents are set for cameo appearances on the popular political drama, including Big Bird, Zoe and Rosita, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

In the episode, President Bartlett (Martin Sheen) asks C.J. (Allison Janney) to try to improve the First Lady's (Stockard Channing) image. As a solution, the First Lady films a public service announcement where she gives Elmo a checkup.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of "Sesame Street."
