"We look forward to supporting this customer with the implementation of our proven Z Portal cargo inspection platform utilizing advanced backscatter technology," OSI Systems' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Deepak Chopra said in a press release.

Z Portal is a drive-through inspection system that uses multiple detection technologies. It provides as many as six views of the vehicle and cargo under inspection using proprietary source and detector products.

OSI Systems did not disclose the number of Z Portals ordered or their expected delivery schedule.

The new order brings the value of systems ordered from OSI by CBP since late 2016 to $56 million.
