SAIC contracted for intel support

MCLEAN, Va., July 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency has contracted SAIC to provide measurement and signature intelligence services, the company announced.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite- quantity award in support of the National Measurement and Signature Intelligence Office has a 1-year base performance period and four 1-year options.

The value of the contract wasn't disclosed.

Under the contract, Science Applications International Corp. will provide measurement and signature intelligence services -- as required -- to assist the Defense Intelligence Agency in executing its responsibilities as the MASINT functional manager for the intelligence community.

SAIC is one of five contractors that will compete for task orders under the contract.

Work will be performed primarily in the national capital region.
