The contract, which includes program management, technology assessment, information assurance and other IT requirements, will also support the Combatant Commands and the Service Intelligence Agencies.

"Information technology is a key enabler for the transformation of defense intelligence, and SAIC is pleased to support DIA, helping ensure that they have the full range of responsive and adaptive IT solutions needed to support current and future defense intelligence operations," John Thomas, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, said in a statement.

The multiple award IDIQ is worth approximately $6.6 billion for all the companies selected to participate in the contract vehicle that officials say is designed to support DIA's global intelligence and command and control assets.
