SAIC lands Marine intelligence contract

MCLEAN, Va., April 20 (UPI) -- U.S. defense leader Science Applications International Corporation said Tuesday it secured a $13 million contract for technology services for the Marine Corp.

SAIC said it received the task order to provide information technology services to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity.

The MCIA acts as the intelligence division of the U.S. Marines. The contract for SAIC includes network operations, information assurance and asset management.

"We look forward to supporting MCIA as they continue to provide easy access to information and the ability to manipulate, fuse, distribute and display critical information in support of our warfighters," said John Thomas, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager

Contract work for the MCIA will occur at Quantico, Va., as well as military installations in North Carolina, California and Hawaii.
