TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Department has contracted Sypris Electronics to deliver its next-generation electronic key fill technologies to replace aging systems.
U.S. company Sypris announced the Defense Department has contracted the company to deliver its KIK-30 Really Simple Key Loader units. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is part of a Defense Department effort to replace its current KYK-13 RASKL systems.
Sypris' RASKL technology is an electronic key fill designed to "load keying data into secure communication equipments," a news release said.
"Sypris Electronics is a strategic partner and key contractor with the Department of Defense in support of their security initiatives and modernization efforts," John Walsh, Sypris Electronics president, said in a statement.
"This contract award further demonstrates our position as a leading provider of information assurance solutions to the U.S. government."
