IceWEB to develop data storage solution

DULLES, Va., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Defense Department has contracted IceWEB Inc. to develop a next-generation data storage solution for defense applications.

U.S. company IceWEB says its Inline subsidiary was selected by the Defense Department to design a data storage system to support an increasing demand from the defense community.

Under the contract, IceWEB will further develop its TruEnterprise 444 model to specifically support geospatial imagery data requirements and accommodate future growth.

"Our vast experience in deploying mission critical Geospatial solutions makes Inline Corporation's product suites the de-facto leader in providing high performance, highly reliable data storage for these complex and heavy-data-lifting applications," Stephen Gill, IceWED representative, said in a statement.

"We're pleased to have been chosen by the Department of Defense to service their geospatial imagery needs."
