The four-company consortium, selected for having been "successfully involved in past and present airborne radar and equipment development in Europe," will be expected to deliver new technology solutions that support light and compact UAV radio-frequency payloads, the EDA said in a news release.

The four-year Phase I contract is worth approximately $27.9 million and, if successful, will continue to a second phase.
