Under the contract, worth an estimated $52.6 million if all options are exercised, Teledyne will develop and deliver ocean Littoral Battlespace Sensing-Gliders for the Navy's Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence.

Officials said the LBS-G is a low-cost unmanned undersea vehicle that collects oceanographic data to support naval maneuvers.

"This contract is a result of combining the strengths of multiple Teledyne businesses, including the leading commercial glider available, to support the Navy's littoral and deep water missions," Robert Mehrabian, Teledyne Technologies president, said in a statement.
