Under the approximately $3.1 million contract, CPI will deliver its integrated microwave assemblies and transmitters to Sierra Nevada for use in the ACLS Beacon.

The AN/APN-245 ACLS Beacon is integrated into the F/A-18 Hornet variants and the new aircraft carrier-based electronic-warfare EA-18G Growler aircraft.

"The radar beacon is necessary for automatic landings aboard a carrier, and the radar products supplied by CPI are vital components of this landing system," a news release said.
