EAGAN, Minn., March 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted Lockheed Martin to provide advanced-display-system logistics-support services.
U.S. company Lockheed Martin was awarded the contract, a follow-on deal to a recent Naval Sea Systems Command Advanced Display Systems production-contract modification, to support the Navy with logistics services for the open architecture Q-70 computer system.
Under the $72 million deal, Lockheed will support the Navy's AN/UYQ-70 display systems.
"We're honored that the U.S. Navy selected Lockheed Martin to provide Q-70 supply support services," John Nikolai, director of Lockheed Martin's electronic products and logistics market segment, said in a statement.
"This award supports assets currently in the fleet and sets a foundation for future infrastructure programs."
