Valley Forge deal paves way for contracts

COVINGTON, Ky., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. company Valley Forge Composite Technologies said a deal has been signed authorizing the delivery of its screening technology to a Middle Eastern country.

Valley Forge, based in Kentucky, said it has signed a master agreement with an undisclosed country in the Middle East that grants permission for the country's government agencies to purchase Valley Forge's Odin and Thor-LVX threat-detection screening systems.

Officials said the Thor-LVX is a cargo and checked-baggage screening technology capable of identifying an explosive or narcotic threat's chemical composition. Valley Forge's Odin system is designed to scan people for weapons, explosives and other illicit materials.

"We are pleased that the Odin and Thor-LVX detection systems have been awarded this important recognition from this important Middle East country," Lou Brothers, Valley Forge chief executive, said in a statement.

"We are looking forward to a meaningful long-term relationship."
