"Recapitalization by Oshkosh provides our customers and the taxpayers with a valuable and cost-effective means of returning vehicles to the fleet," Charlie Szews, Oshkosh president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.

"Through this program, Oshkosh delivers a vehicle with the performance, reliability and all the modern enhancements of a new truck but at a lower price point. This contract is evidence of our commitment to build and deliver mission-proven, rugged and reliable vehicles for the military."
