RESTON, Va., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has selected WCC Smart Search & Match to participate in the Biometrics Operations and Support Services-Unrestricted program.
Virginia-based WCC was selected to participate in the Army's BOSS-U program, a contract vehicle worth $497 million in future task orders, as a subcontractor.
The BOSS-U program is designed to support the Army with advanced biometric identification systems and technology to address evolving design, analysis and demonstration requirements, among others.
WCC, a provider of search-and-match software technologies, says it plans to submit its Elise ID platform to support work on the BOSS-U program.
"We are pleased to support the BOSS-U program," Peter Went, WCC chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"We believe Elise ID, our platform for multimodal fusion, can provide a comprehensive identity search and match capability that includes biometric, biographic and contextual data that is relevant for the BOSS-U program."
