Under the more than $3.9 million deal, Todd Pacific will provide the USCGC Healy research icebreaker with "repair (to) the ship's main propulsion system, auxiliary systems and many other structural, mechanical and electrical features aboard the ship," the release said.

Work on the contract will take place at the Coast Guard's Integrated Support Center in Seattle. Officials say maintenance to the USCGC Healy is expected to be completed by January 2009.
